We draw inspiration from French melodies that you can hear in the mazy streets of Paris.
You can listen to us with a glass of wine in your hand. Enjoy a tasty cup of coffee and a cake. Stop for a while in the late afternoon, relax and listen to melodies from old times when the rhythm of our life used to be considerably slower.
The accordion with its distinctive sound forms an inherent part of such music. Together with the vocalist Eliška Sýkorová and the guitar player Jan Janda we have created a French-style acoustic band, called Chouette. Our trio can also be accompanied by violin and double bass.
We perform at events such as wine degustations, weddings and exhibition openings – any events where you’d prefer less conspicuous music with a French spirit.
We like the songs of the legendary singer Edith Piaf and the classical French style called musette, as well as more up-to-date pieces such as Yann Tiersen’s beautiful music composed for the film Amélie. A great source of inspiration is also the young French singer who calls herself Zaz, or the melodies by Jeux d’enfants written for the famous Cirque du Soleil.
